Mwezini is designed as an account-first cycle tracker. Logs, settings, exports, deletion, Plus access, sync, and AI all belong to one private account with visible controls.
What Mwezini stores
Cycle settings, daily logs, symptoms, mood, energy, sleep, optional notes, account email, user ID, education reading state, subscription access state, checkout interest, and Care Circle rows when a user chooses those features.
Account-first controls
Mwezini requires sign-in before tracking. Local delete clears browser-stored Mwezini data on that device. Export and restore use a JSON file that stays under your control.
Cloud sync and deletion
If you sign in and sync, Mwezini stores private account rows in Supabase. Delete cloud removes synced logs, settings, checkout interest, and Care Circle rows while local device data can remain available offline.
Account deletion
The signed-in app includes a permanent Delete account control. It removes active CareCircle sharing and account-backed link records before deleting the Supabase sign-in and Mwezini-hosted app data, then clears the device. Billing subscriptions and payment records are managed separately by the applicable store or payment processor.
AI insights
AI summaries are opt-in. Before a request, Mwezini explains that cycle settings, today's date, and up to 30 recent saved logs, including flow, symptoms, mood, energy, sleep, and notes, are sent through Mwezini's server to OpenAI. Mwezini asks permission before sending and does not expose the OpenAI API key in the app.
Third-party processors
Mwezini uses Supabase for account authentication and optional sync storage; OpenAI for AI generation you approve; Stripe, Apple, or Google for purchases; Vercel for web hosting and authenticated APIs; and Rork-hosted Cloudflare functions for native CareCircle sharing. CareCircle sends your selected summary and link credentials, not your raw journal. Providers process data for app functionality, not advertising, and are required to provide protection consistent with this policy. Mwezini does not sell health data.
AI data and retention
Mwezini sends only the disclosed cycle fields, not your account email, account ID, or CareCircle credentials, to OpenAI. Anything you type in notes can be included, so avoid identifying information there. We request no stored OpenAI response with store:false; this is not a guarantee of zero retention. OpenAI may retain abuse-monitoring data for up to 30 days, or longer where legally required. You can decline AI and continue tracking. Saved summaries on your device remain until you erase them.
How data is collected and protected
You provide your email, cycle settings, and logs directly. Authentication and payment providers return account sessions and billing status. Mwezini uses HTTPS in transit and account-level access controls for hosted records. Cloud services may process data outside your country. Health records are not used for advertising or sold to data brokers. Contact support for access, correction, export, or deletion requests.
Billing and medical note
How Mwezini earns is simple: subscriptions and optional user-chosen services, not selling health data. Stripe handles checkout and billing details; Mwezini stores only the subscription state needed to unlock paid features, including whether a paid plan is in its seven-day trial.

How Mwezini earns
