Privacy

Mwezini is designed as a local-first cycle tracker. The app can store logs on your device before any account, sync, subscription, or sharing feature is enabled.

What Mwezini stores

Cycle settings, daily logs, symptoms, mood, energy, sleep, and optional notes. Cloud sync is optional and should only be enabled when a user chooses it.

Local-first controls

You can use Mwezini without an account. Local delete clears browser-stored Mwezini data on that device. Export and restore use a JSON file that stays under your control.

Reminders

Prep reminders are stored locally with your Mwezini browser data. Browser alerts stay off unless you choose to enable them, and Mwezini uses private check-in wording.

Cloud sync and deletion

If you sign in and sync, Mwezini can store a private backup of your settings, logs, and Care Circle invites in Supabase. Delete cloud removes those synced rows while leaving local browser data available offline.

AI insights

AI summaries are opt-in. Mwezini sends recent saved logs only when you tap generate, verifies Plus or Care Circle access on Mwezini's server, and does not expose the OpenAI API key in the browser.

Paid reports

Cycle reports are created only after you choose export and Mwezini verifies Plus or Care Circle access. Reports are built from your provided settings and saved logs, then downloaded as a file you control.

How Mwezini earns

Mwezini is built to earn from subscriptions and optional user-chosen services, not from selling health data. Stripe handles checkout and billing details; Mwezini should store only the subscription state needed to unlock paid features.

Medical note

Predictions are estimates for personal planning and are not medical diagnosis, contraception, fertility treatment, or emergency health advice.
